Summer Meal Program

Taylor Elementary will be conducting Kindergarten Registration on Monday evening, April 24th from 5:30 to 6:30pm on our campus. Only children 5 and older before Sept. 1, 2023 are eligible to register. Kindergarten Teachers will have their classrooms open and will be available to meet prospective students and their parents during that time. We will also have registration packets available and ready to fill out and will be ready to accept/copy documentation needed to complete registration. State law and district policy require the following:
Copy of a valid birth certificate
Proof of residency (current utility bill or statement with name and current PHYSICAL address - mailing address alone does not establish residency))
Vaccination Record
We will also have representatives from the district transportation and district health departments here to help answer any questions you might have. We hope you can join us and help get this process started for you new kindergarten student. Please share this with anyone you know that has a child who will be old enough to start kindergarten this Fall.

SNOW DAY!!! No school today 1/20/2023 .
Dear Parents and Staff,
Earlier this evening a student posted a threat on social media directed at the Junior High. Police were contacted and the student was taken into custody for questioning. Due to the investigation, we are unable to give more details at this time. We do however want to assure parents that students will be safe and school will be held on a regular schedule. There will be an increase in police presence in and around our schools.
Parents, please talk to your children about the seriousness of social media. All threats will be taken seriously.
We would like to thank our local police department for their quick response to this matter.
Sincerely,
Hollis J. Merrell
Snowflake School District Superintendent
